- Useful knowledge:
Python, 3D modeling, Biomechanics & Anatomy.
- Contents
- Background:
Musculoskeletal modeling has gained popularity over the last decade as it represents a valuable tool to noninvasively investigate the relationship between body motion and internal biomechanical loads. Furthermore, it allows the simulation of motion sensor data, which is subsequently considered as input for gait marker estimation algorithms, which enables for personalized wearable system design.
Aim:
The seminar aims to estimate the performance of wearable motion sensors from biomechanical models/ simulations and sensor data synthesis. Therefore, existing techniques developed at the chair should be further developed.
Learning Objectives:
Learn concepts of musculoskeletal modeling.
Learn concepts of synthesizing data from biomechanical models.
Apply gait marker estimations.
Develop corresponding algorithms.
Examination:
Final presentation and final report.
