- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- Das Proseminar Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies: Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul)
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)
Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
For obvious reasons this seminar primarily aims at students studying for a teaching degree (Staatsexamen, esp. L-Gym), although BA students can also participate.
- Inhalt
- This course will start out with an analysis of the current books for teaching English at Bavarian grammar schools and an analysis of the curriculum (the course will not analyse the books used at Realschule). The data will then help to single out aspects of linguistics that any future teacher should be really familiar with and to discuss possible problems and approaches when teaching them. Students are invited to evaluate the books used at the moment and to produce teaching material they find more suitable.
