- Inhalt
- GS Culture provides a first insight into the field of contemporary cultural studies, putting special emphasis on possible definitions of culture and on the different approaches and methods of cultural analysis. Apart from discussing central aspects of cultural meaning construction such as identity and ideology, race and class, the course also introduces students to media studies, constructions of otherness, the role of myths in the production of social meaning, and gender studies.
