Inhalt:

• Introduction to Bioanalysis

• Proteinanalysis (Filtration, Proteindetermination, Activity tests, Sequence analysis)

• Analysis of amino acid (sample preparation, hydrolysis, derivatisation)

• Analysis of carbohydrate(Determination techniques, glycosylation, analysis of monosaccharides, composition analysis)

• Analysis of lipid (extraction methods, measurements, determination of fatty acids, lipid hormons, lipid vitamins)

• Analysis of nucleic acid (isolation and purification, processing, determination techniques)

• Metabolomics and Peptidomics

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

The students

• know and describe the most important modern methods being applied in biosciences.

• name and assess the potentials and limitations of such techniques.

• are able to discuss about new developments in the field of bioanalysis according to current scientific literature.

• can design a scientific presentation on their own and can inspire their fellow students to critically discussions.
