Inhalt:

With more information distirbuted over the internet and digital services privacy became more and more important over the last years. Hover concisely describing what we mean by privacy in different contexts turns out to be a non-trivial trask.
In this seminar we are exploring methods on how to descirbe and compare privacy garantuess for (stored) data and cryptocurrencies. These definitions will be based on different promising approaches, namely information theorey and game-based definitions.
There students are required to familiarize themselfes with the meassured systems and give a 45 minute talk and provide a summary of at least 4 pages counted without pictures. After each talk there will be a discuccsion about the presented paper.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

On successfully passing the course, the students understand how to work with scientific literature and to present the topics in an understandable way.
Furthermore they learn about measures of privacy and the application thereof with privacy enhancing technologies.
