- The course will cover a theoretical and a practical introduction to a number of topics relevant to theoretical approaches in physics among which are:
TD-DFT approaches in calculations of exited states: Application to calculation of spectra
Coupling of quantum mechanics approaches into molecular dynamics: Application to chemical reaction kinetics
Introduction to lattice Boltzmann simulations: Applications in microswimming
Molecular dynamics: Diffusion of small molecules
Free energy approaches: Application to calculation of adsorption energies and structuring of surfaces
Monte-Carlo methods: Application to molecular motors
Stochastic dynamics: Application to simulation of diffusive particles at an interface
Introduction to image analysis: Application to basic techniques for segmentation, de-noising, background subtraction, object recognition, tracking algorithms
