- Inhalt
- The purpose of this seminar is to study the political phenomenon of democratization from a gender perspective. Majority of democratization literature has said little about the participation of women in transitions to democracy or on the gendered nature of those processes. This seminar first seeks to understand the nexus between gender and democratization from a theoretical perspective and will then examine the role of women in democratization processes by looking at empirical cases from non-European regions.
This seminar will be held in English. For non-native speakers, as the instructor herself, this is a great opportunity to practice WITHOUT fear. No one expects from you to speak and write like a member of the British Royal Family, so make use of this opportunity.
