- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies: Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul)
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)
Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
Scheinerwerb: Referat + Hausarbeit (Students will have to give a presentation in class (15-20 min) and write an assignment (approx. 12 pages)).
- Inhalt
- The module aims to provide students with an understanding and ability to critically approach the following issues in Language Acquisition:
• The acquisition of first languages and the main theoretical approaches to it: Generative and Usage-based
• The main issues that emerge from the literature on the acquisition of second languages: Critical -Period Hypothesis, Fossilisation and L1 Transfer
• Slobin’s Thinking for speaking and how speakers’ L1 structures influence their conceptualisations
