- Die Übung Linguistik gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
MA Linguistik: Modul 2/4 'Descriptive and theoretical linguistics'

- Inhalt
- The aim of this class is to provide practical insights that are related to the Hauptseminar "Language and literacy". We will carry out a small corpus study, e.g.:
Compare syntactic constructions or lexical features used in written vs. spoken varieties of English: How much of the variation can be attributed to the modality, and how much is due to individual speaker/author variation or to the genre? Compare syntactic constructions or lexical features used by single speakers across modalities
(analyse the similarities and differences in spoken vs. written language use by individual speakers)
