- Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies: Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul)
Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)
Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)

- Inhalt
- This course will provide theoretical as well as practical value for the students. On the one hand, it will make an attempt to examine the status of multi-word phraseological units (e.g. idioms, collocations) as well as apply this knowledge to other fields of linguistics, e.g. corpus linguistics, language teaching, lexicography, translation studies, etc. As far as the practical aspect is concerned, this seminar will offer students an opportunity to use computer tools and/or specialised software for phraseological extraction and text analysis (corpora, AntConc, PIE, LexTutor). After the course, the students will be able to compile the own corpora, extract multi-word units and use the data to conduct research on phraseology.
