Das PS Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies (neu): Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul) Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics) Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (neu): Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)

- Inhalt
- Since there is no agreement on the exact content of the branch of phraseology, this course will make an attempt to define these multi-word units (e.g. idioms, collocations, rhyming slang?), as well as their role in different linguistic theories (e.g. construction grammar, corpus linguistics). Also, since phraseology is one of the main sources of language errors by non-native speakers, application of phraseological knowledge to other fields, such as foreign language learning, translation studies and lexicography will be considered. Finally, this seminar will offer students an opportunity to use computer tools and/or specialised software for phraseological extraction and text analysis."
