- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- Das Proseminar Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
Students are required to give a presentation and to do a term paper based on a research project.
- Inhalt
- Lexicology deals with the English vocabulary. In this seminar, we will discuss the area of lexical semantics, the meaning of words and the relations words can have with other words, the structure of the vocabulary. The seminar will also deal with other areas of lexicology, e.g. collocations and idioms and word formation. We will also look at dictionaries as tools for the description of the vocabulary.
