- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- The seminar is currently planned in such a way that the attendance phases can take place in the seminar rooms of the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG in Nuremberg. If face-to-face meetings are no longer advisable or possible due to the pandemic, the face-to-face phases will be moved to the virtual space via Zoom.
- Inhalt
- The aim of this seminar is to get to know international and especially UNESCO-related perspectives of Cultural, Aesthetic, and Arts Education and to deal with them in a critical and reflective way in a flipped classroom setting. In the beginning we will take a look at the history as well as the institutional structure of the UN and UNESCO. Furthermore, we will explore the fundamental question of why it seems important to engage with an international perspective on Cultural Education at all.
Against this background, we will deal with the institutional logics of UNESCO. The analysis will focus on central documents (reports, mission papers, policy papers, public relations products, etc.) of UNESCO and the UN. The aim of the constructive-critical examination of these publications will be to develop a critical-reflective frame of reference for the subsequent project phase.
In the aforementioned project phase, we will finally deal in depth with 4 sub-goals of the UN’s so-called SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and consider how new and creative models for an innovative practice in aesthetic, arts and cultural education could look like.
