Ziel der virtuellen Vorlesung ist ein Überblick über die Aufgaben eines Supply Chain Managers auf dem internationalen Parkett:
  • Ziele und Aufgaben

  • Methoden und Tools

  • Internationales Umfeld

  • Erfahrung und Wissen aus der industriellen Praxis

  • Aktueller Stand der Wissenschaft im SCM-Umfeld

Der Kurs gliedert sich in folgende Lerneinheiten:

  • Integrated logistics, procurement, materials management and production

  • Material inventory and material requirements in the enterprise

  • Analysis of cost reduction in materials management

  • Management of procurement and purchasing

  • Procurement strategies

  • Warehouse management, picking systems, in-plant material handling, packaging

  • Distribution logistics, global tracking and tracing

  • Modes of transport in international logistics

  • Disposal logistics

  • Logistics controlling

  • Global logistic structures and value chains

  • IT systems in supply chain management

  • Sustainable global structures of production and logistics

  • Summary

Zur praktischen Vertiefung werden im Rahmen des Kurses 3 Case Studies durchgeführt.

The virtual course intents to give an overview on the main tasks of a supply chain manager in an international working environment:
  • Goals and tasks

  • Methods and tools

  • International environment

  • Knowledge and experience of industrial practice

  • Cutting edge research on SCM

Topics of the course are:
