- Inhalt
- The focus of this course will be on the theoretical and practical aspects of literary translation. Its main aim is to give students an opportunity to practise their translation skills in various literary genres. After a short introduction into the nature and basic techniques of translation in general, there will be exercises in the stylistic analysis of texts of different literary genres as well as in translation criticism, which will prepare students for their practical translation work. Students will give oral presentations of their individual translations and submit written translation tasks. This course is open to students of English.
Assessment: portfolio (three assessed tasks).
