- Das Aufbauseminar Literature gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
• BA English and American Studies (neu): Basismodul III Literature (keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung; empfohlen nach dem Besuch des Grundsenubars Literature)
• Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien (neu): Basismodul III Literature (keine Zulassungsvoraussetzung; empfohlen nach dem Besuch des Grundseminars Literature)
- Inhalt
- In this seminar, you are going to apply a variety of theoretical approaches to fictional texts from different literary periods and genres. As you will be expected to read secondary sources as well, it is strongly recommended that you start reading the primary texts (in the given order) before the beginning of the summer semester.

Mary Shelley, Frankenstein. The 1818 Text, Contexts, Nineteenth-Century Responses, Modern Criticism. Norton Critical Edition. London and New York: Norton, 2012. (if you already have a different edition of this novel you would like to use in class, please make sure it contains the 1818 text, not the heavily edited 1831 version)
