- Literature from and about India has a long and distinguished history. In this course, we will look at a number of twentieth-century novels that revive old narrative traditions from India and deal with colonial, post-colonial, and neo-colonial issues. The course will introduce students to British authors who write about India and to Anglophone writers from the Indian subcontinent, as well as address some of the major debates within postcolonial discourse studies.
