- This course is part of the "Aufbaumodul Englischdidaktik" Hauptseminare (4 ECTS) Prüfungsnummer: 72521 (Studienbeginn ab WS 2020/21). Wichtig! Für Studierende nach alter PO (Studienbeginn vor WS 2020/21) sind dies Mittelseminare mit der Prüfungsnummer 72511
- Inhalt
- Since language and communicative skills are closely connected to intercultural skills, both teaching and learning a foreign language require intercultural awareness. This course focuses on practical examples and ways to achieve intercultural competence in the Foreign Language Classroom. We will discuss and have a closer look at how to include and convey cultural awareness in different types of skills training and classroom situations.
Teaching intercultural competence also requires knowledge of intercultural educational goals as found in the curriculum and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Therefore, we will continuously make the connection between theory and practice in the Foreign Language Classroom.
