WPF MWT-MA-WSI 3

Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
Prerequisite is the successful participation in the course CoMBiF I

Inhalt
These lectures introduce advanced topics in the statistical analysis of failure patterns in deforming heterogeneous biomaterials. The focus of the course will be on the numerical techniques required to quantify dynamic patterns such as stain bursts, scale invariance, rare-region effects, stress/strain correlations, and the relationship of such patterns with biomaterial toughness and performance. The course will include tutorials, in which the students will have the opportunity to work on implementations of such analysis tools and test them against raw data coming from the simulation methods introduced during the first instalment of the course (CoMBiF I).
