Inhalt:

Course Overview:
Application of programming for numerical simulation, design optimization and data analysis will be presented in this course. Fundamentals of working in MATLAB environment, using the relevant toolboxes, and starting coding from scratch will be covered. Furthermore, Python scripting will be introduced and working with the most applicable Python libraries for numerical simulations and data analysis will be discussed in this course.

Learning objectives and competencies:

  • Students become familiar with commonly used programming tools and environments in engineering domain.

  • Students can recognize which tools and libraries are appropriate for different engineering applications.

  • Students can apply their programming skills in different domains such as data analysis/visualization, engineering optimization and implementing numerical methods.

  • Opportunity will be given to the students to bring their questions and topics from their own study disciplines and being inspired how they can utilize programming and data analysis approaches for their specific applications and projects.
