Empfohlene Voraussetzungen:

Recommended: basic maths, especially statistics; fundamentals of signal processing and machine learning; fundamentals of experimental psychology.

Inhalt:

In the seminar, students will analyse, present and discuss research sub-topics in machine learning and human-robot interaction in rehabilitation and medical robotics. This includes issues in control of prostheses, exoskeletons and exo-suits for rehabilitation, clinical robots to aid walking and muscular recovery, surgical robotics, etc. Besides reflecting on contemporary literature, the students are asked to draw own conclusions and suggest directions for future research.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

On successful completion of this seminar, students will be familiar with recent research challenges in learning and interaction in rehabilitation and medical robotics, both theoretically and practically. They will also be able to deduce potential new research lines from recent developments.
