Compact Frequency Agile Intelligent Mobile Reconnoissance-Network (CAIMAN) The capture and comprehension of location and situation dependent radio signal transmissions are of strong interest for various applications. It requires a mobile, compact and highly efficient system that can be easily adapted to individual scenarios. In this project, we investigate the theoretical foundations necessary for the design, the implementation and the verification of signal processing algorithms. Furthermore, we build a prototype of a distributed sensor system that works out of the box on deployment, without further interaction of operators on site. The sensors are loosely connected by a mixed communication/data channel to a central processing unit which can process the large amount of captured sensor data using a variety of signal processing, classification and analysis algorithms. | Project manager: Dr. Stefan Harbeck, MEDAV GmbH
