Introduction into the XFEM
Introduction into the IGA-FEM
Introduction into the parametric FEM
Reduced order modeling as the necessary tool in the parametric FEM
Overview of other recently developed techniques and approaches

The students
are familiar with the modern state of the art
are familiar with the nonlinear FEM and FEM solvers
are able to choose and apply suitable modern methods for solving problems
are able to work with a level-set function and choose enrichment strategy
are able to program B-splines and NURBS
are able to apply order reduction for parametric problems
