Non-equilibrium many-particle dynamics (Seminar) -
- Dozent/in:
- Martin Eckstein
- Angaben:
- Proseminar, 2 SWS, ECTS: 5
- Termine:
- First meeting: Thursday, April 15, 2pm. Zoom link see StudOn: https://www.studon.fau.de/crs3678607.html
- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches:
- Prerequisite: Quantum mechanics and statistical physics.
- Inhalt:
- The study of non-equilibrium phenomena in quantum many-body systems is a very active field of research, with applications to the ultra-fast laser-induced dynamics in complex solids, quantum simulation on various platforms (cold atoms, ion traps Rydberg atoms), or phase transitions in dissipative driven systems. The seminar will cover a broad range of concepts and phenomena in modern non-equilibrium physics. A preliminary list of topics, and all further information, can be found on StudOn: https://www.studon.fau.de/crs3678607.html

- Angaben:
- Vorlesung, 2 SWS, ECTS: 5, nur Fachstudium
- Termine:
- Zeit/Ort n.V.

WPF Ph-BA ab 6
- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches:
- Prerequisite: Quantum mechanics and statistical physics.
- Inhalt:
- The study of non-equilibrium phenomena in quantum many-body systems is a very active field of research, with applications from ultra-fast laser-induced dynamics in solids, to quantum simulation on various platforms (cold atoms, ion traps Rydberg atoms) or phase transitions in dissipative driven systems. The lecture will give an overview over the basic theoretical concepts in this field, including classical stochastic systems (Langevin Equation, Fokker-Planck equation), path integral formalism for non-equilibrium systems, the Keldysh formalism, and quantum kinetic theories.
