- Building on knowledge acquired in Grundseminar Literature, Aufbauseminar Literature serves as an introduction to literary theory. Various theoretical approaches and methods will be analysed critically in regard to their potential as well as their limits by applying them to exemplary primary texts. Due to the relatively demanding reading load consistent of theoretical articles as well as primary texts it is highly recommended to have finished reading Hamlet and Frankenstein by the beginning of the semester. The course language is English.
