Contents
The cases of image manipulations greatly increased with the advent of digital photography and the broad availability of image processing software. Nevertheless, a picture is still regarded as a document that serves as proof for an event in the areas of journalism, in court, or in scientific publications. Thus, journalists and law enforcement agencies have a vested interest in verifying the authenticity of an image, or in case of a manipulation the location of it.
In this seminar, selected forensic analysis methods are presented in talks and demonstrated with small pieces of code. Towards the end of the seminar, each participant has the collected code as a "mini forensic toolbox". The supervisors give the introductory talk, each participant will perform an analysis.
