- Inhalt
- This vorlesung addresses the ways in which the international system is organised to produce norms, rules and patterns of behaviour among international actors. Key questions include: who creates international organisations, why and when? The approach is both theoretical and empirical. The role, functioning, achievement and shortcomings of international organisations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation, and the International Monetary Fund will be critically discussed. The human factor is at the centre of analysis. International organisations are created and ruled by human beings to manage interactions among other human beings. Many issues are not only technical but also moral.
