- Students who took up their studies in WS 2020/21:
Elementarmodul Landeskunde (L-UF), to be taken in conjunction with English-Speaking World and Presentation Skills.
Landeskunde-Modul (L-Gym), to be taken in conjunction with the Landeskunde Workshop.
Students who took up their studies before WS 2020/21: Basismodul Culture (L-Gym).
Elementarmodul Landeskunde (L-UF), to be taken in conjunction with Landeskunde Übung. Please note that the Übung will be taught online so that Erlangen students can join. Please go to Sprachkurse am Campus Regensburger Straße (ehem. EWF)
- Inhalt
- The British / American Context, History, Geography, Government, Education, Religion & Holidays, Politics, Media, Arts & Sports, Cultural Concepts in the UK and the US. Students engage with a very a wide range of course material. The focus will be on both historical and current aspects. Students interact with various media sources (both UK and US). By the end of the module students are able to critically evaluate current events as they happen and they can reflect on issues with a good background understanding.
Es wird empfohlen, im Zuge des Studiums einer Fremdsprache einmal die Übung "Kickstart: Fremdsprachen lernen" (auf UNIVIS unter Sprachenzentrum > Sprachbezogene Zusatzqualifikationen in Erlangen) zu besuchen.
